The pension has been reconstructed from an old burgher house in 2001. The history of the house - originally called Zum Bergstein – dates from 1817. The look from its windows offers a unique view of Ptačí schody (Birds stairs), castle buildings, churches and spas. Thanks to its location, the pension provides an ideal combination of relaxation in castle park or spas and walks to the city centre, which is less than 300m far away. The house is situated on Letná slope which protects visitors from the bustle of large hotel and spa complexes.

In the past, a number of famous personalities used to stay in the house. Among them was also the world-famous German painter Caspar David Friedrich (1774 – 1840). Nowadays the best exhibition halls and museums in the world, e.g. Ermitage in Peterburg, National Gallery in London or Louvre in Paris own his paintings. It is worth mentioning that one of his paintings created the artist directly from the window of our house. A commemorative tablet on the facade of the house is a reminder of this renowned personality.

We offer altogether 14 rooms corresponding to the standard of ***.

There is a shoe cleaning machine available. Apart from 6 sheltered parking places there is a parking lot available. A newly constructed elevator enables barrier-free access to all rooms and areas of the guesthouse.

The pension is surrounded by a large shadowy garden with a children playground. Downstairs there is a cozy restaurant with 40 places and a spacious terrace for 100 people with a beautiful view of the historical centre. There are four two-room apartments providing accommodation for 2 to 4 persons and ten double-bedded rooms. Large, comfortable rooms are equipped with a TV set with satelite, internet WiFi, safe, hair dryer, refridgerator and telephone. All the services are included in the price even unlimited internet. In the apartments there is a kitchen, which enables guests to prepare meals on their own. Rooms are standardly equipped with a spacious bathroom with water closet, bath, wash basin and bidet.
