One of the most visited Czech chateaux, built at the end of the 16th. century and reconstructed in the Renaissance style from a former royal castle, reminds of the Windsor in England set in the middle of South-Bohemian forests. It got its present image in the 19th. century during the reign of conte Jan Adolf II. Schwarzenberg. Sightseeing tours introduce visitors to luxurious representative halls, an armoury and the chateau´s kitchen with unique contemporary furnishings. There is also a vast English park with a greenhouse and a riding hall around the chateau.
