The dominating feature of this picturesque town, famous especially thanks to the Napoleon battle in 1805, is a monumental Baroque residence of the aristocratic family of Kounice, built at the turn of the 17th. and the 18th. centuries. The sightseeing tour includes the oval Historical Hall, inside which an agreement between France and Austria had been signed on the 6th. December 1805 after the Battle at Slavkov and also an art gallery. In one of the wings there is an exhibition of the Historical Museum and around the chateau we can visit a vast park, built in the French Baroque style.
