Description:
Vamberk is a famous lace center with the bobbin lace work tradition going on for more than 3 centuries. The history and the present of handmade lace is described in a permanent exhibition, which leads visitors through the lace development in the Czech lands from the 18th. century till the present times. The exhibition presents lace production as a craft, which provided living for many families and it documents the beginnings of the first Czech lace school and museum.
