Founded back in 1817, the Moravian Museum is ranked as one of the oldest and largest museums in the Czech republic. The establishment displays its collections featuring natural and social science items in Brno (the Ditrichstein Palace, the Bishop´s Court, the Noble Women´s Palace, the Anthropos Pavilion and the Leoš Janáček Memorial), in the Kralice Print Shop Memorial, the Old Chateau in Jevišovice and the Budišov Chateau. It contains collections of 6 million exponates of natural and social science.

The Moravian Museum The Moravian Museum, second biggest and oldest museum in Czech republic, was founded in July 1817 by a decree of Emperor Francis I. The museum's collections include over 6 millions of objects, representing valuable scientific material from the fields of literature, music and theatre, geology, mineralogy, botany, zoology and entomology.
