Description:
This large ZOO is located in a forest park in the city quarter Stromovka. You will see grass free runs of deers, African cloven-hoofed animals, free runs of chimpanzees, runs of lions, breeding aviaries of birds of prey. The Ostrava ZOO specilizes in breeding rare, endangered species and as the only ZOO in the Czech Republic breeds a couple of black lemurs (Sclater's black lemur).
